Valentina Alcalde Gómez

Valentina Alcalde Gómez is a doctoral student at the School of Social and Statistical Sciences at the University of Naples Federico II, where she explores social entrepreneurship as a pathway to healing and regeneration in transitional contexts through decolonial approaches and participatory methods.

 

She holds a Master's degree in Communication and Social Change (UIA Puebla, Mexico) and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design (UNAL, Colombia). She has worked as a university professor, researcher, and workshop facilitator in Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Senegal, and Spain. Co-creator of the counter-educational platform Materia Oscura, she is interested in social change and transition design from the perspectives of communality, affect, and interdependence through creation.
