Our aim
At seizmic, our mission is to unlock the potential of social enterprises by equipping the next generation of researchers with the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to scale social impact across Europe and beyond. While social enterprises play a crucial role in addressing societal challenges, their ability to grow and replicate successful models remains a major hurdle. The seizmic network seeks to bridge this gap by advancing research on scalable social business models, impact-driven finance, digital transformation, and education for social innovation.

Through an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach, we aim to:
Develop a deeper understanding of SE scaling – Investigating how social enterprises can expand their reach through replication, adaptation, and digital innovation.
Leverage technology for social good – Examining how AI, digital ecosystems, and virtual mentoring can enhance the scaling process.
Foster impact-driven investment – Exploring how financial mechanisms can support the sustainable growth of social enterprises.
Bridge research and practice – Creating a dynamic network where academics, policymakers, and practitioners collaborate to turn research insights into real-world solutions.
Empower future leaders in social entrepreneurship – Training doctoral researchers with cutting-edge skills in entrepreneurship, finance, and technology.

By breaking down barriers between disciplines and sectors, the seizmic network aspires to shape a new era of social entrepreneurship, where innovative solutions can be effectively scaled to create lasting societal change.
