
Anika Keils
Anika Keils is a PhD researcher at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), affiliated with LIPHA (Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire d’Études du Politique Hannah Arendt) and the MSCA seizmic Doctoral Network. Her research explores how social foresight can support the scaling of social business models in Bottom-of-the-Pyramid (BoP) markets, using participatory and critical futures methodologies to address systemic inequalities and accessibility challenges.

She holds a Master’s degree in Future Studies from Freie Universität Berlin and has worked across strategic foresight projects on sustainability, energy and mobility transitions, emerging technologies, and the futures of work. With experience in both public and private sector research and consulting, she has facilitated participatory workshops, conducted trend analyses, and supported interdisciplinary, stakeholder-driven projects.
Her work centres on the transformative potential of social foresight to shape just and inclusive futures, bridging academic inquiry and applied strategy to enable equity-driven social innovation.
